Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 August 2026. This explains what Ember collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Ember (“we”, “us”) provides account warm-up software for short-form video creators. For UK GDPR purposes we are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at business@emberapp.site.

What we collect

We collect only what the product needs to function:

  • Account details. Your email address, and a password hash if you choose to sign in with a password rather than a magic link. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never see your password in readable form.
  • Social account handles. The usernames and platforms of accounts you add to Ember, so warm-ups can be scheduled against them. We never ask for, receive or store the passwords to your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts. You sign into those on a cloud phone yourself.
  • Warm-up activity. Records of what a warm-up did — which queue ran, how long it ran, and the health signals read afterwards.
  • Billing details. If you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe customer identifier and your plan status. We never see or store your card number.
  • Technical logs. Standard server logs from our host, including IP address and request time, kept for security and debugging.

Why we can use it

We process account details, social handles and warm-up activity to perform the contract you enter into when you use Ember. We process billing data on the same basis. We keep technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of processors, each for one purpose:

  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Vercel — application hosting and server logs.
  • Stripe — payment processing, if you subscribe.
  • GeeLark — the cloud phones warm-ups run on.
  • Anthropic — generates suggested niche queues. We send the niche and platform you choose. We do not send your email address or billing details.

Cookies

Ember sets only strictly necessary cookies — the session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes we will ask for your consent first.

How long we keep it

Account and warm-up data is kept while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove it, except where we must keep billing records for accounting purposes. Technical logs are kept for a short period on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing, or ask us to transfer it elsewhere. Email business@emberapp.site and we will respond. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
